"In Buried Heart, the country in disarray, as the Commoner class
are in the midst of a revolt against their Patron overlords. But the
real enemy is approaching from foreign lands, and Jessamy must find a
way to unite the country and save the people she loves. In this
thrilling conclusion to the trilogy, Jessamy finds herself in a war

POISONED BLADE, the sequel to Court of Fives, is now available in hardcover. Get a signed copy from my online bookstore!
"Now a Challenger, Jessamy is moving up the ranks of the Fives--the
complex athletic contest favored by the lowliest Commoners and the
loftiest Patrons alike. Pitted against far more formidable adversaries,
success is Jes's only option, as her prize money is essential to keeping
her hidden family alive. She leaps at the chance to tour the
countryside and face more competitors, but then a fatal attack on her
traveling party puts Jes at the center of the war that Lord
Kalliarkos--the prince she still loves--is fighting against their
country's enemies. With a sinister overlord watching her every move and
Kal's life on the line, Jes must now become more than a Fives
champion.... She must become a warrior."

A Note About Email:
My father once reminded me of the immortal words of Boss Pendergast to the newly-elected Senator Harry S. Truman upon Truman's leaving Missouri for Washington D.C.:
"Work hard, keep your mouth shut, and answer your mail."
I read all my email. I'm VERY slow answering it (I answer it all myself), but I try to get to it all eventually. It often takes me 3-4 months to reply. Sometimes it takes much longer, for which I apologize in advance.
Let me emphasize here that I appreciate each and every note that comes my way. As a writer I work in isolation, so it's gratifying to know that people are reading and enjoying the books.
The best place to contact me is Twitter, followed by my blog, Facebook, and Tumblr. Or, of course, at one of my rare public appearances. I really do love to meet readers.
